The crater was the vessel in which the Ancient Greeks drank their wine mixed with water and that is why its name comes from the word kerannimi which means mix. This crater belongs to the period of the classical black figure in 495 BC. The first side depicts Poseidon, the god of the sea. On the NW side there is a plan with Akrokerama.
